Ann Kulig is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience, the greater part of her time has been spent working with children and families in Chicago area schools.

She has been successfully using the technique described in this story for over two decades and has found it to be an effective and therapeutic approach that children seem to intuitively understand.

Monica Fitch Skulski has been a teacher for over 35 years teaching at all elementary levels and in different areas of the country. Her primary focus has been in reading, especially with at-risk children. She also spent over fifteen years coordinating a school program that helped children deal with the emotional impact of such family issues as death, separation, and divorce.

Gina K Nelson has worked as a fine arts painter, muralist and illustrator for the past 17 years. She lives in Claremont, CA with her husband and son.
